Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia and the capital of autonomous province of Vojvodina. City’s natural landscape and the numerous galleries, museums and monasteries make it one of the most popular destinations in the region. The city lies on the Danube river, which splits Petrovaradin fortress and the city center. Petrovaradin fortress, as a city’s art center, is a place which mysterious underground keeps intriguing explorers from around the world, due to its rich history.
Novi Sad was the European Youth Capital during 2019, and will be the European Capital of Culture for 2021 for its large cultural and creative potential. As one of the leading educational and research centers in Central Europe, the University of Novi Sad is home to more than 50,000 students and 5,000 employees. With beautiful harmony of nature and modern architecture, the central University building will be the venue where main conference activities are held.
