Conference will take place at the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI), Jamova cesta 39, Ljubljana in the Main Lecture Hall located at the main building.
Traveling to Ljubljana
When traveling by airplane
The Ljubljana airport - Letališče Jožeta Pučnika is 23 km (approx. 30 minutes) outside of capital Ljubljana. You can reach Ljubljana by:
- Taxi with the rides ranging between 35 - 50 €. Website: https://www.lju-airport.si/en/
- Several shuttle services are also available, they tend to charge from 15 € (for shared) to 50 € (for individual transport) to city center. Example: GoOpti airport transfer (https://www.goopti.com/en/).
- Bus - there is a regular bus connection to the Ljubljana main bus station (once per hour, the last bus at 8 p.m.). The one-way tickets are about 4 €.
From Trieste airport to Ljubljana is around 120 km. You can travel to Ljubljana twice a day by train, bus, car or shuttle. Bus will cost you around 30 € and almost 2 hours, driving with rent a car or shuttle will be 1,15 hours long and will cost between 30 and 100 € (depends of the car). There are 4 ways to get from Klagenfurt Airport to Ljubljana (130 km): by bus, train, rent a car or shuttle. Bus will take you around 4 hours and costs between 11 - 16 €, shuttle will cost you between 10 - 140 € and around 1,5 hours, same as rent a car. Train cost around 45 €, but is not fastest then bus. When traveling by train
The railway station is situated in the centre of the town. You can get from there to Jožef Stefan Institute by taxi (it costs about 10 €) or by local buses (see below). When traveling by international bus
Long-distance buses stop at the central bus station that is situated in the center of the town in front of the Railway station. It is possible to travel from there to Jožef Stefan Institute by taxi (it costs about 10 €) or by local buses (see below). How to get to Jozef Stefan Institute
Using local buses
In Ljubljana the local transportation is performed by busses (Ljubljanski Potniški Promet - LPP). The fee of 1.30 € can be paid directly on the bus (cards only, Apple pay, Google pay). Urbana city card can also be used. Urbana mobile app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store (payments for the bus tickets can be made via the app).
City bus lines 1 and 6 stop near the JSI:
- For bus line 1 (Vižmarje - Mestni Log) get off at the stop "Jadranska", which is directly in front of the entrance to JSI.
- For bus line 6 (Črnuče - Dolgi most) get off at the stop "Trzaska". JSI is approximately 200 m along the Jadranska ulica.

On foot or by BicikeLJ (self-service bike rental):
From the city center of Ljubljana to Jožef Stefan Institute you can also come by foot or bike. It is an approx. 25 minutes long walk or up to 15 minutes long ride. Subscription to BicikeLJ costs 1 € for a week and 3 € for a year.
