Conference Registration

Registration is required for all participants of BalkanCom 2024. Discounted early registration is available by May 10, 2024. After this deadline, registrations will be accepted at the regular registration rate.

All accepted papers (General Submission and Special Sessions) require FULL registration to be included in the program and proceedings. One FULL registration is needed by at least one co-author to register up to 2 papers and it should be performed before the deadline for camera-ready papers, May 6, 2024.

If you would like to register as an IEEE member, please add your IEEE membership information to your EDAS profile. Then, the discounted IEEE member rates will appear on your registration page.

Early Registration (by May 10)

  • Full Registration: 350 EUR
  • Full Registration (IEEE Member): 300 EUR

Regular/On-site Registration (after May 10)

  • Full Registration: 400 EUR

Full Registration includes one copy of the conference program, access to e-proceedings, admittance to all tutorials and entire Technical Program of BalkanCom'24 with refreshment breaks, one ticket to the Conference Reception and one ticket to the Conference Banquet.

Terms and Conditions

BalkanCom 2024 continues the best tradition of scientific conferences of being completely and totally not for profit. Like the best conferences of this genre, it is in fact the first one to target the region of the Balkans with the sole objective of enhancing the potential of the scientific communities in the Balkan countries to get involved in research on a global scale. The conference is totally self-supported and any surplus that might occur will fund and support future editions of this conference.

All payments are processed through EDAS, and the BalkanCom 2024 organization committee has no liability whatsoever. Student registration rates are available to full-time students only.

Pre-registered attendees can collect their conference materials during each day of the conference, starting 30 minutes in advance of the conference hours. On-site registration will be possible during the same periods.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

All refund requests must be made in writing to Ilir Capuni (ilir.capuni@gmail.com) and received no later than May 13. Requests received by May 13 will receive a full refund less a 50 EUR processing fee. For those who pay by credit card, refunds can only be processed to the credit card to which the original charge was made. Processing of the refunds may take over 30 days. No refunds will be processed for cancellations after May 13. Extras (Banquet Tickets, Welcome Reception Tickets, and USB proceedings) are non-refundable.

  • Credit Card is the suggested method for the registration fee.
  • If the attendees wish to pay by Paypal, they agree to pay the associated fees

Early registrations without real payment actions will be canceled. Attendees have to go through the online process again, and will not be considered as early registration.

Application for BalkanCom 2024 student author support

The BalkanCom Steering Committee decided to provide a limited support to students from the Balkan region countries (as per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balkans) that are authors and presenters of contributions at the conference. The amount of the support will depend on the number of applications and will be decided by the Steering Committee. Applications for student author support are now open at the following link:

Deadline for author reduced registration rate application is May 31, 2024 at 17.00 CEST. Decisions will be announced on June 3, 2024.
