METACITIES, is a project that aims to create an Excellence Hub for future cities in Southeastern Europe, based on Digital Twins and Metaverse technologies. A key pillar of the project is cross-border cooperation focused on innovation and involving all categories of quadruple helix actors. It also aims to orchestrate and strengthen local ecosystems to accelerate their digital transformation and to maximize the impact and adoption of the METACITIES approach by many cities but also highlight the requirement for a common open digital twin framework in order to accelerate the DT adaptation. In this context, the specific workshop entitled: Digital technologies and infrastructures for Future Cities , will look into all those technologies that accelerate the uptake of digital twins. The Connected Smart Cities for Greece 2.0 (Greece 2.0 NATIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE FUND) is a Flagship Action which aims to create a common conceptual service description model and data model for all Smart Cities in Greece.
